The role is based from our offices in Bedford and duties will include research, data analysis, accounting, customer service, retail, business planning and interpretation. There will also be the opportunity to join the woodland ways instructors on some of our courses to fully understand the business, though due to the need for the highest standards of skills on these courses this position does not include a teaching/instructional role. If you are looking to learn purely to increase your bushcraft skills then this opportunity is not for you and we would suggest you look at our The Woodlander Course. However if you want to really immerse yourself into the operation of a Bushcraft Company then it will.
Woodland Ways is aware that academia may not be the answer to everyone though, and so if this position is of interest to you but you are not in higher education woodland ways would still welcome your application.
Each candidate must:
- Be able to drive (or have the ability to travel to and from our Bedford offices)
- Hold the right to work or study in the UK
- Be physically fit
- Where not in higher education the candidate must be able to comit to 1 full year
- You must be aged 16+, there is no upper age limit
This placement will provide the right candidate with an un rivalled opportunity to fully imerse themselves into the complete running of one of the busiest bushcraft companies within the UK. Our chief instructor and senior instructor will mentor you through the year providing you with a skill set that no one else will be able to boast.
Reasonable travel expenses will be paid. Transportation when traveling accross the country to our instructional venues will be provided by the Instructional Team from Bedford.
If you would like to apply formally then please send in your CV along with a covering letter about why you would like to join us to Jason@woodland-ways.co.uk. Interviews will take place in February/March and the year can fit in with your current academic or personal commitments.
