5.11 Tactical Shirt Long Sleeve (Khaki)
A supreme outdoors shirt crammed with features- Woodland Ways Quality Assured Approved.
The 5.11 shirt forms part of the uniform of the qualified Woodland Ways Instructors, and there are so many reasons for this.
From a functional point of view the shirts are very durable being 100% cotton canvas, it comes in a Khaki colour, making it ideal to blend into the woodland environment, and boasts map pockets in the chest, large external chest pockets, pen holders on the sleeves, a mesh vent at the rear, underarm ventilation, the sleeves have double protection on the elbow and fold up into a nicely designed button/loop on the upper arm.
From a style point of view this shirt not only looks great in the woods, but would not be out of place walking down the high street.
This shirt is plain, without the deer logo embroidered on to it. However it is with all of these factors in mind that we agreed with 5.11 to put our deer logo beautifully embroided on the shirt to show that this is a Woodland Ways Quality Assured piece of equipment. The logo consist of the deer encircled by it surround, but does not have Woodland Ways written underneath it... which means you get a beautifully crafted logo on to a quality piece of kit, but we are not asking you to do our advertising for us!

So what do our instructors think? Here Jason writes:
"We considered numerous shirts to form part of our uniform through the years before settling unconditionally on the 5.11 tactical shirt. We think the features are exceptionally well thought out, they work when we work, and they are so warm in the winter that most of us have a good quality thermal layer, and this shirt, and we are toasty warm... and look... well... like we've been in the woods for some time...!"
Advantages: The shirts are well made, high quality and up for the job.
Disadvantages: We recognise that this may not be the cheapest shirt you could buy but do believe for similar functional shirts this offers exceptional value for money when compared directly.
