A complete mid price basha and hammock set. Here we have combined two of the most popular basha's and hammocks to provide you with a cost efficient shelter system.

This is a combination of the Highlander Basha and the Nomad XL Tropical Hammock.

The highlander basha is 8ft x 5ft and is constructed of a waterproof, tough, rip stop nylon. All of the attachment points are re-inforced and it benefits from 4 loops on the corners, a row of loops along the ridge line, along with 28 pres studs around the outside. These prestuds can be used to join 2 bashas together to form a very large shelter, or in an emergency you can prestud the basha in half and climb inside for a bivvi (although beware, the material is not breathable and therefore you will condensate). The basha is supplied with 24 metres of paracord.

The Nomad XL Tropical Hammock is constructed of quick drying, rot resistant 100% polyester. Provded with 6 metres of 10mm paracord makes it very versatile for erecting in different environements. We also like the fact that the base of this hammock has a double lining, which you can use to your advantage in a number of different ways. Firstly you can climb inside it giveing you further protection from the elements, or simply place your roll matt between the sheets to stop that maddening midnight "where on earth is my bloomin roll mat" question!

The hammock also comes with a draw string stuff bag for protection when storing/transporting.

So what do our instructors think: Here Dan writes:

"This is a good, mid range (price wise) hammock which is cleverly thought out and so puts it in the high range (features wise) bracket! If you didn't want to stretch to a hennesy but was after more comfort than the basic hammock design... I would opt for this, when combined with the Highlander Basha you have a complete lightweight shelter kit at an affordable price".

Advantages: The hammock is cleverly designed, pretty light at only 420g and is very versatile, when combined with the Highlander basha you can protect yourself and your kit from either the rain, wind, snow or sun no matter what environment you are in.

Disadvantages: If you want to compare this bundle to say a Hennesy Hammock, then obviously this is bulkier and with less features... but then the difference in price is over £70 and you get what you pay for!
