The Boar knife is made in the Swedish part of Lapland in a traditional northern Scandinavian way.

The blade is 10cm long, 2.4cm wide and 3mm thick and it is made from high quality Sandvik 12C27 stainless "surgical" steel (HRC 57) sharpened with a flat Scandinavian grind.

The blade extends with an internal tang that stretches approx 2.5" into the handle and is secured very firmly so that it won't come loose.

The Handle is made from curly birch stained with a golden red/brown colour and also has a reindeer antler spacer.

The Sheath is made from full grain vegetable tanned cow hide leather and features a small pocket that keeps the diamond sharpener firmly in place. It has an inserted plastic sheath liner.

The Diamond Sharpener is a double-sided quality sharpener made in Sweden. It has a fine and a coarse side (30 and 60 micron respectively) that makes keeping an edge an easy job.

This knife is brilliant for hunting, fishing and forest activities. It is also suitable for carving and could be used in all kinds of outdoor activities such as survival exercises, bushcraft and camping.

As the blade is made from Stainless steel it is important to keep touching up the edge of the blade to ensure it always stays shave sharp. This is easy to do when you get a spare 5 minutes as you always carry the sharpener with you.”

The blade is made from stainless steel and so is resistant to rust and easier to sharpen than carbon steel. Comes supplied with a plain leather sheath for protection with a custom pouch for housing the sharpener.

Disadvantages: Is slightly more expensive due to the diamond sharpener being included. The belt loop is only wide enough to fit a fairly thin belt. As the blade is made from stainless steel it will not hold its edge as long as a carbon steel blade does.
