This complete Cast Iron Cooking set is all you will need to rustle up some amazing recipes around the campfire.

The Dutch Oven is great quality & heavy duty, with three legs for safety, a rimmed lid to enable you to pile hot ashes on top without them spoiling your food when you lift the lid, and is incredibly versatile as a piece of cookware.

This dutch oven has a capacity of 4ltrs, and is 23cm wide, 10cm deep.

The griddle is perfect for cooking those venison steaks, aswell as fish, lamb, pork etc. The griddle can also be reversed to cook eggs on the smooth side... how versatile can you get?

The 10" Cast Iron Skillet is a safe way of frying over the open fire, and is a favourite with our instructors.

The set also comes with a lid lifter, made from rolled steel which is designed specifically for lifting the lid off the dutch oven.

"Forget about leightweight camping with this set, it is designed for some serious campfire sessions... but what a delight to have the versatility of being able to conjure up any recipe with this set... seriously, if you are involved in cooking for your family, or large groups outdoors, this set is the way forward".

Advantages: Without doubt the versatility of this set is the key selling feature.

Disadvantages: The whole set packs some hefty weight so don't think about taking this anywhere except in the car. As with all cast iron pieces they are prone to rust, pay special attention to seasoning them well at the start, and then just be sensible with them and they will last a lifetime though. We find when you go to store them just covering them with a little oil and placing some kitchen roll inside the pan keeps the moisture out and the rust at bay.
