Mora Bushcraft Forest Knife
This brand new knife from Mora of Sweden is a step up from the Mora clipper knife. The Bushcraft Forest knife has been designed particularly with bushcraft in mind. Once again a cheaper alternative to a hand crafted bushcraft knife, this knife represents good value for money and functionally.
Contained within a plastic sheath this increases the hygienic issues that you can face whilst using leather sheaths on a knife used for game preparation. The sheath belt loop is a vast improvement on the clipper knife as it has is full loop and a swivel join to allow for movement whilst on your waist.
The knife itself benefits from a high tensile grip with a pronounced forefinger grove and guard and a thumb grip on the top of the handle. There is also a palm grip at the rear of the handle.
The blade is 3/4 tang which is Mora’s flagship design, it has a full flat Scandi grind up to half way up the blade where the blade then narrows with a deep belly making it ideal for game preparation and a slight convex secondary bevel. There is a drop point at the tip of the knife to allow for finger point precision. This is a very unusual design of knife but one which we appreciate and quite like.
Advantages: Cost – Mora have been making knives for years and you will not find another factory produced knife of this quality and design. Stainless steel blade therefore rust resistant.
It is illegal to supply a knife to anyone under the age of 18. Woodland Ways actively checks the details of all orders for knives, and other edged items.
