Mora Woodcarving Knife 120 description :

The Mora Woodcarving Knife 120 is a woodcarving knife with a thin, tapered blade and a pointed tip made from laminated steel. It has an oiled birch wood handle which provides excellent grip and control when carving.

It is an ideal knife to use along side the Mora 164 crook knife for wood carving projects such as spoons and bowls.

Overall knife length:168mm
Blade length: 58mm

The knife comes supplied with a thermoplastic sheath with a belt loop.

What do our instructors think? Jo writes:

"I have used this knife to carve my own spoons and kuksa cups and due to the design and thickness of the handle it is comfortable to work with for long periods of time with out causing your hand to get cramp. The birch wood handle helps with grip if you have sweaty hands and the length of the blade is perfect for controlled carving. If you are carving your own kuksa cups make sure you don’t accidentally poke the point of the blade through the bottom of your cup and ruin it!”

Advantages: The short and extremely sharp blade makes the knife ideal for its intended purpose of wood carving. The birch wood handle gives excellent grip and control when carving. Supplied with its own thermoplastic sheath.

Disadvantages: The knife has a tendency to come out of the sheath if you don’t push it well down in to it.
