Woodland Ways runs a number of team building courses to suit organisations large and small.

These can be ran as a half day, one day or multi day course during the week. (For weekends please see our Woodland Ways Weekend Course). If you would like to incorporate your team building day as an attractive “add on” to existing meetings, or for entertaining clients, Woodland Ways has also negotiated use of conference facilities & catering services in a beautiful historical estate in Warwickshire. Woodland Ways is happy to make all the arrangements for you with no administration charge.

Firstly, we can provide your team with a relaxed, friendly (and humorous) environment with which to escape the “norm” of your every day work! On a more serious note our instructors also use a preset assessment toolkit that evaluates your teams/individuals initiative, team building, motivation, and learning styles.

Below is a flavour of just one of the many courses we can deliver:

Fire, food, shelter & water…

Aka… get your hands dirty!

For this course you either operate as one team or split into competitive teams. Our instructors will guide you through the construction of your shelter, how to collect & purify water, how to prepare your food and how to light your fire. This usually takes up the morning. Following lunch your team is then given 1 of 4 scenarios, using the information provided the team must then decide how & in what priority to organise your camp… will it be food, or will it be shelter??

The course concludes with a debrief for the team followed up by a written report to your office within 3 working days. (Please note this description is for a full day course)

Other courses that are available are:

Navigation and safety in the countryside- here the team are given initiative tasks to complete on a predetermined route using various navigational techniques
Search and Rescue- reports have just come in there is a casualty in the hills and night is drawing in! Using the techniques taught to you by our instructors, will you find them in time, and more importantly, can you get them out in time??
Fire- here the team are given various tasks relating to the lighting, maintaining and use of a fire (but obviously… with limited means)
Water purification- water water everywhere, but none of it drinkable! Using a range of techniques & equipment provided by our instructors can you collect, filter and purify?

All courses can be adapted to your particular needs, for example if you do not wish to have your team assessed but would rather it be a fun learning experience we can cater for this also. Please contact us to discuss your requirements further.
