Woodland Ways was founded in order to build on the tradition of teaching Bushcraft and Survival Skills, with an emphasis on the protection and conservation of those environments we work within.
Operating in Oxfordshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Scotland, we have a number of courses to suit your budget, including our most popular Woodland Ways Weekend.
|
Here at Woodland Ways our courses are designed to be fun! We offer you the opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people, and to share new experiences in unique settings.
|
With a relaxed, fun and friendly approach our team of instructors are dedicated to teaching you the skills of our ancestors.
Through practical, hands on training, we will guide you through many different aspects of bushcraft, including building your own shelter, collecting and purifying water, fire lighting by friction, traps and snares, game and mammal preparation, navigation and natural foods to name just a few.

We also provide further specialised courses which include off road driving, expedition vehicle choice and care, canoe building, fungi identification and desert survival.
You can choose to join us on any of our courses as an individual or as a group; our courses also make an ideal gift, check out our shop for gift vouchers.

Woodland Ways is committed to conserving and enhancing our natural environment. We work closely with Landowners to ensure that our activities are designed in a way that can help to improve the quality of the local environment. We actively promote the countryside code, and are pleased to work in partnership with the Woodland Trust, who receive £1 for every booking we take.
All our instructors are first aid trained and we hold full public liability insurance.
We are not woodland romantics, but we are practical and realistic. We work in harmony with our changing seasons; adapting our practices throughout the year… for us this is not an optional extra… but a way of life. We hope to see you soon…
