Outdoor Bushcraft Equipment : Woodland Ways also retails quality outdoors equipment - with a difference! You will know if you’ve been on a course with us we are not easily pleased when it comes to equipment, and we always say never let anyone tell you “this is the best piece of kit ever” as each bushcraft equipment will have advantages and disadvantages depending on the environment. Therefore our instructors have field tested each and every piece that we sell, and we will tell you exactly what we think of it, good and bad, to enable you to make an informed decision, an approach we believe quite unique in online selling!
Woodland Ways over the years has established a highly respected reputation for not only building on the tradition of teaching bushcraft and survival skills , but with an emphasis on the protection and conservation of those environments we work within. But don’t just take our word for it, check out what our customers say about us on the testimonials page.

We operate a number of bushcraft courses to suit your budget, including our most popular Woodland Ways Weekend. We promise to stretch your horizons and knowledge of what nature can provide to ensure not only a hearth, warmth, shelter, water and food but much much more. But never fear, our approach to our bushcraft courses is one of fun and practical! You will not be worshipping the tree spirits or be shouted at at every turn, but will leave each course with a new set of survival skills and a memory of a great fun experience.
This relaxed, fun and friendly approach we believe is the best way for our instructors to share with you the survival skills of our ancestors. Through practical, hands on training, we will guide you through many different aspects of bushcraft, including building your own shelter, collecting and purifying water, fire lighting by friction, traps and snares, game and mammal preparation, navigation and natural foods to name just a few.
Check out the courses page for more details of each course, you can either join up as an individual, as a small group of friends or you can get a larger group of friends together to have a course ran just for you.
The contents of each bushcraft course are different but we encompass the following into one or more of each course.

We are not woodland romantics, but we are practical and realistic. We work in harmony with our changing seasons; adapting our practices throughout the year... for us this is not an optional extra... but a way of life. We hope to see you soon...
