Woodland Ways School Activity and Education Packages
Bushcraft is one of the most engaging activites for younger people available in the current age, whether they are working with fire, discovering wild foods, or tracking along the woodland ride, you will see eye's light up and an enthusiasm awaken that other activities just cannot bring.
We are one of the leading providers of Bushcraft and Survival training in the country and operate a range of activities for all ages at our two centres in Oxfordshire and Derbyshire.
Our youth activities are aimed at school groups, youth organisations (scouts/guides/cadets etc), and charitable bodies aimed at assisting young adults who are maybe outside of mainstream education or within other structured programmes.
These include the core activities of shelter building, fire lighting, water sourcing/purification and food collection and preparation (both plant and animal) but also related activities such as tree and plant identification, nature awareness, tracking, basketry, cordage making, bark work, carving, navigation, camp craft, outdoor cooking, woodland management, primitive technology etc., etc.
Our courses and range of activities encourage social development and team working, inspire and motivate learning, foster independence and build confidence whilst at the same time having fun and discovering the age old techniques of bushcraft and wilderness survival. All in a natural but safe environment.
