Search For A Visual Storyteller
We’ve been around a bit and as far as bushcraft is concerned, we’ve pretty much seen and done most of it. But not everyone knows how it feels to create your first friction ember, carve something beautiful from green wood or toil for days to produce luxuriously soft buckskin. The time has come for us to tell our story; to document what we do week-in week-out, and show the world exactly why we’re so passionate about it.
We spend our days in the woods, it’s our place of serenity, inspiration, challenge and learning, but ultimately we want to share, which is why we teach practical wilderness skills. By their very nature, teaching these skills requires hands-on application 90% of the time, leaving us without the capability to film, and produce high-quality, inspirational video content that tells our story.
We want our experiences to leap from the screen and grab you, to transcend mere words and pictures – we want video! From our time in the woods teaching everything from bow making to hide tanning all the way through to the bushcraft and outdoor shows where we inspire hundreds of people daily, we need one individual to bring life to what we do via the medium of the moving image.
We want you to follow Woodland Ways and Jason with a camcorder for a year and in return we’ll provide you with the latest equipment, pay your expenses and give you open book to attend any of the UK courses we run. All we ask is that you document at least one weekend course a month for the entirety of 2019, plus some of the shows and events we attend, including the Bushcraft Show. You’ll get behind the scenes, you’ll get your hands dirty and you’ll learn more than you could possibly imagine.
So if you’re over 18, got the spark to produce inspiring video content and want to take your bushcraft skills to the next level then give us a shout, if possible providing examples of some of the work you’ve done. Fit the bill and we’ll take you on the Woodland Ways journey with us. Just think, it could be you!
