Out & About
The team have been busy both with work & a little play, no rest though as there is still plenty to do, read on…….
Jason treated the team to a morning’s clay pigeon shooting, which they all thoroughly enjoyed; some of our instructors were quite taken with it, almost forgetting about primitive weapons for just a moment in favor of this new found BOOM STICK!
Jason writes “I had the wonderful privilege of treating the full time instructors to a mornings shooting in gratitude for an exceptional year, followed by an afternoon of planning exciting adventures for the coming years… We’ve got some incredible stuff lined up for you for 2016/7!”
Jason and Kev were at the Royal Geographic Society’s Explore event for budding explorers and expedition leaders. Kev writes “they came away feeling very inspired and having made loads of useful contacts”.
Jay headed up to meet our 4×4 off road instructor Rob at his farm in Derbyshire to deliver the Voyager experience for an off road publication. Jay then delivered a water sourcing & purification session for a school booking the following day.
On the Thursday Kev met with the curator of the Pitt Rivers museum in Oxford to discuss some exciting joint ventures they have planned.
Jay reports, “It was great to host the membership weekend with such great bunch of people who were as enthusiastic about making there own superb flint & steel fire kits as they were in sharing their enthusiasm for being in the woods”
That brings us up to date with what has been going on with us, thank you for taking the trouble to find out.
