Ray Iles Crook Knife Shallow

A shallow curved Right or Left Handed Crook knife by Ray Iles.
Ideal for making spoons, bowls and ladles.

The design has considered the shape and and size of the handle for comfort and control. The blade is made from 01 high carbon tool steel and holds an exceptionally sharp edge. The handle is made from beech and is treated with linseed oil. The handle will require additional coats of linseed oil from time to time to maintain the look and durability of the wood.
This is the shallow curve crook knife designed to make a shallower cut.

An excellent spoon carving knife easy to use easy to shapen and holds an edge. Beautiful feeling in the hand and will look amazing years to come with the application of oil. If you want a spoon carving knife you won't do any better. Try them all. I've got at least one of each.

I bought these knives as a gift for my husband. He has other similar knives of the same make and is therefore very happy with them, hence his choice of these. He is very discerning and only buys the best equipment so I would highly rate these knives, although I haven't any first hand experience. He tells we that the handle is of a comfortable size and shape with a strong, well-shaped blade. He uses these knives primarily for spoon carving and already has some, so these are to extend his collection. In respect of the service provided by Woodland Ways, I can say that they are prompt and efficient with delivery. Ordering online is straight forward from a clear website. We have visited the shop in Bakewell often and made several purchases. It is one of my husband's favourite shops. Thank you.
