Rogue Trans Africa Boot RB5 Oxblood
The Rogue RB5 Trans Africa Boot was developed for the Cape to Cairo walk 1998 and worn exclusively by Wilderness Trail Guides in the Kruger National Park since 2003.
This Rogue boot is a hard working trail/walking boot with fullgrain leather uppers and fullgrain leather lining. Water resistant, full bellows tongue, padded ankle support and easy roller lace loops. Leather covered foot bed insole. Oxblood colour with moulded rubber R-sole grip pattern.
It is advisable to treat your boots with dubbin, wax or Rogue Leather Food if you intend to use in very wet conditions to ensure that they are as water- resistant as leather boots will ever be.
Sizes - Rogue boots are a half size smaller than UK sizes so if you take a size 8 in UK then you will need and 8.5 in Rogue boots.
Woodland Ways also stock the Rogue RB2 which is a light trail boot.
HOW ARE THE RB2 and RB5 ROGUE BOOTS DIFFERENT?
The RB5 boot is fully lined with leather and has a ripstock canvas layer over the insole to make it water resistant.
The RB5 boot has hooks at the top for the laces but the RB2 boot has D rings.
The RB5 boot has ball-bearing lace loops for quick tightening of the laces and also has a lace lock.
