Size tip - Swanndri BUSHSHIRTS ARE OVERSIZED to allow up to three layers underneath, please take this into consideration when choosing your size. For the most accurate size choice, compare the "Bushshirt Chest Size" to something you currently wear. Please remember the "Bushshirt Chest Size" measurement is done by laying the garment down flat and measuring from one armpit to the other (2cm down from the armpit seam).

Measure around the fullest part of your chest, place the measuring tape close under the arms and make sure the tape is flat across the back.

Great quality garment. Very warm and perfect fit. Only issue is the inner doesn’t allow any breathing and therefore gets damp with physical exertion. Can’t wait for colder weather so I can test it to the full

Jacket is nice and warm, only used for dog walking so far but camping in the near future. Really impressed with the quick delivery as well

Great service. Arrived very fast even though I ordered it over the Christmas period. Good price too. I love this jacket. I've always worn the original ranger shirt for work on the farm in the winter. I've always managed to get away with just this without a proper coat on top in all but the worst weather - it keeps out some wind chill, and takes a long time to get wet through with good layering and stays warm when wet. The xtreme version has a few perks. I like the button up rather than zip. It's a bit more fiddly but I used to find my zip would work its way open over time. The addition of hand pockets is brilliant for warming your hands or I like to put my gloves in there when not in use. The cut I think is improved. It seems to sit better on the shoulders and it's slightly longer while not being too long. The lining is great. It blocks the wind and although I've not been rained on much yet I imagine the addition will probably keep me dry for longer given the great performance of the standard ranger. The downside of a membrane is reduced breathability but this is something I was aware of and weighed up in my decision. It doesn't feel overly sweaty inside in moderate activity in the cold, but it will inevitably make a difference. The lining I find is also very comfortable and makes it easier to pull on over a fleece (it clings less). I've always been a bit dubious about membranes underneath the insulation layer. For maximum warmth it makes sense to have the weather barrier outside the insulation layers. However, the original ranger is great on it's own so it will only improve performance, and these garments make a great outer layer when you will be subjected to a lot of abrasion and wear and tear such as during farm work (easy to get holes in modern waterproofs etc.). So overall I'm really pleased with how this jacket functions for me. It will keep me warm and dry through the British winter working outside.
